In 1987, State Conference delegates decided to support a Medical Research Project each year.

CWA of NSW’s Disaster Relief Fund is used to assist people in need during and after times of flood, bushfires and drought or any natural disaster.

Donations to this Fund of $2.00 or more, are tax deductible.

Applications open for CWA Education Grants on 1st August and close on 30th September annually.

They will be considered at the November Executive Meeting each year and must be received at State Office no later than 30th September.

No applications will be accepted after this date.

Community Involvement

Wallaby/possum pouches made following bush fires, community gardens, volunteers and cookery for the Royal Easter Show CWA Tea Rooms, donation to Remote OpShops (WA/NT), gift packs to far west NSW CWA branches ‘thinking of you during the drought’, Aprons donated to Bateman’s Bay High School food technology students, school backpack and stationery for Operation Backpack, twiddle muffs for the Hospital Committee, food for Ronald McDonald House, Biggest Morning Tea, volunteers and cookery for the Royal Easter Show CWA Tea Rooms, donation of jams to Georges River Branch Christmas Stall, wrapping Christmas presents to raise funds for palliative care service, donation of goods to Remote OpShops (WA/NT), community gardens, jams for Carlton South Public School, fresh fruit and vegies to Jesuit Refugee Service,  jams, baked items, lavender bags and tissue pack covers for the CWA show bags, volunteers at the Easter Show CWA Tea Rooms.
